Gaming Questionnaire Results

Gaming Questionnaire Results

My questionnaire was filled in by a variety of people with different ages and genders. This has allowed me to see how different groups views are on gaming and what groups play video games more often than others.

Age Range
The results from my questionnaire showed me that it is more likely that people from around 14 – 25 play video games. I believe this is because video games are still a fairly recent form of media and are constantly evolving so on average people of older ages play them left. I believe not many from the age range 3 - 13 play video games is because they are still young children and although there are video games aimed at their age group there are more video games aimed at the 14 – 25 age group as they are the most marketable audience for the video game industry.

Platform/System
Interestingly there were no patterns between what system people played. It did not matter who was older, younger, male or female, the system of choice was very random throughout those who filled out the questionnaire.

How Often People Play Video Games
The results from my questionnaire showed that at younger ages who are under education game more. This makes sense as well under education people have more times for their hobbies compared to those who have a job. Those who are unemployed also said they played games more and this will also be because they have more free time.

Why People Play Games
My results showed that those who were older on employed played games for entertainment and escapism. These were the people with less time on their hands. Whereas the people with lots of time on their hands such as people under education or the unemployed play games more for the challenge. The only exception to this is young children who play games purely for fun.

What Times of The Day People Played
The results from my questionnaire showed that those who were older and employed were more likely to play during the evening. Children were more likely to play in the afternoon after school and 14 – 25 year old's were more likely to play at night.
